Being in a relationship is not just about how you and your partner interact with each other. It's about how you are as an individual. In fact, building a strong foundation for the relationship starts with your wellbeing and a clear understanding of how your mind works helps you to navigate your human experience more gracefully.
Need some great relationshipadvice? Connect with yourself first. Develop that sense of awareness to find inner peace and well-being. Having a clear grasp of your own state of mind will help you see your self-worth, gain confidence, overcome negative thoughts, realize what you want and need, and improve your perception of things.
Then, you’ll be able to bringthat state of mind to the relationship. All those positive emotions will also manifest in the relationship. Given that inner wisdom and a clearer understanding of your mind and yourself, it will be easier for you to navigate what’s going on in the relationship. You can focus on the solutions, stay rational when you have to, and remain empathic and considerate to your partner.
This deeper wisdom is the onethat will guide you into developing a healthier relationship. After all, the most important relationships are not the ones you have with your partner. It’s the relationship that you’ve built with yourself. So, when we say working on the relationship, we mean splitting the couple first and bringing them back together after feeling that relationship that they have with their individual selves.
Do you need that reset button and want to connect deeper with that innate love within? Angus and I do. We all want that. That’s why we recommend Dr. Amy Johnson’s book, Just A Thought, so you’ll have a deeper understanding of how the mind operates and be able to apply the understanding to your relationships.
Not sure how that works? Watch our vlog, drop your questions, and share your experiences with us. We’ll be happy to give you and your partner more relationship advice!
Angus & Rohini Ross are “The Rewilders.” Listen to their podcast Rewilding Love. They believe too many good relationships fall apart because couples give up thinking their relationship problems can’t be solved. Many couples don’t know how to navigate low moods, conflict, and emotional reactivity. In this season of the Rewilding Love Podcast, Rohini and Angus help a couple on the brink of divorce due to conflict. Angus and Rohini love working with couples and helping them to reduce conflict and discord in their relationships by pointing them to their innate wisdom and wellbeing. They work with couples who are struggling and couples who would like to deepen the love and intimacy they already have. They co-facilitate a private couples' intensives retreat program that rewilds relationships back to their natural state of love.
