We have a wonderful interview coming up on our podcast Rewilding Love with Lila Turner on Monday June 7th called Rewilding Dating. In the interview, Lila shares so eloquently about how we can think we are relaxed and being ourselves when we actually aren’t. This happens often in the dating process, but can come up anytime. Self-consciousness is a normal part of the human condition.
Knowing that who we are is enough no matter how we feel in the moment is liberating. And understanding that if we happen to be feeling self-conscious, it doesn’t mean anything about our self-worth is freeing too. It is a normal experience that will come and go. There is no need for shame or fixing ourselves.
Simply having the realization that we are feeling self-conscious is enough to help us get some perspective and start to get ungripped from our self-conscious thoughts. We are designed to self-regulate and come into balance. We hope this helps you to remember that who you are is absolutely okay no matter what you are feeling. You are love!
