Anger the Maligned Emotion

March 27, 2021

Anger can be more verboten than sex for some. This is true for Rohini.

In Western culture there can be a lot of judgment on anger. Societal conditioning gives us messages to silence our anger, deny our anger, or express it in ways that have us feeling out of control and ashamed. Men and women may have to navigate different cultural norms, but as we share here, there isn't a lot of healthy messaging around anger for anyone. Guilt, shame, and insecurity are common feelings that come up around anger.

But what if anger is a healthy emotion? What if all feelings are healthy and important signals? What if anger is a healthy expression of our life force that supports us with catalyzing personal and societal change?

This vlog is an exploratory conversation about anger to encourage you to look at what conditioning you have around this emotion so you can get more perspective on your conditioning and freedom from it.

There is no prescription provided, but we trust your wisdom will guide you as you look in the direction of greater inner freedom and peace with what is, and as humans "what is" includes our emotional experience.

Angus & Rohini Ross are “The Rewilders.” Listen to their podcast Rewilding Love. They believe too many good relationships fall apart because couples give up thinking their relationship problems can’t be solved. Many couples don’t know how to navigate low moods, conflict, and emotional reactivity. In this season of the Rewilding Love Podcast, Rohini and Angus help a couple on the brink of divorce due to conflict. Angus and Rohini love working with couples and helping them to reduce conflict and discord in their relationships by pointing them to their innate wisdom and wellbeing. They work with couples who are struggling and couples who would like to deepen the love and intimacy they already have. They co-facilitate private couples' intensives that rewild relationships back to their natural state of love.
